Maurice Kenny, Mohawk, has been a poet, editor, publisher, and professor at North Community College and the University of Oklahoma. His writing and editorial work have influenced many Native Americans toward an appreciation of values and political insight into their cultures. Kenny has been a leading figure in the Renaissance of Native American poetry since the 1970's.

   

Derek C. Maus, Associate Professor at Department of English and Communication at State University of New York at Potsdam, will give an introduction to Maurice Kenny's work.
